What did Obama know about the Trump Kremlin agent and when did he know it?
A report in The Hill newspaper says that the Obama crowd at the Department of Justice gave Natalia Veselnitskaya permission to enter the country without a visa. She slipped into the country on an emergency basis.
This unusual special permission to enter the country was granted by the Obama Department of Justice days before she met with Donald Trump Jr.
Quoting The Hill directly:
“The Russian lawyer who penetrated Donald Trump’s inner circle was initially cleared into the United States by the Justice Department under “extraordinary circumstances” before she embarked on a lobbying campaign last year that ensnared the president’s eldest son, members of Congress, journalists and State Department officials, according to court and Justice Department documents and interviews.”
When the story broke this evening I checked the NYT and Washpost websites. Nothing.
The Hill continues:
“This revelation means it was the Obama Justice Department that enabled the newest and most intriguing figure in the Russia-Trump investigation to enter the country without a visa.”
So wait a minute.
We are watching Democrats and shamed Republicans harrumph about the Don Jr emails with the Russia Mata Bari’s go-between showing for the first time there is evidence of “a willingness to collude“.
And now we learn the Obama team slipped a Kremlin agent into the country who then made a headlong charge at Trump Tower for a fateful meeting with Donald Trump Jr, Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner, the Big Three of the Trump campaign.
Maybe Mr. Mueller needs to expand his investigation.
What did the President know and when did he know it?
Somebody wanna step up and explain this? Loretta Lynch? Susan Rice? Josh Earnest?
Himself, the former President?
